This is NOT my personal list, but it’s here because I’m gonna go through it.

Hopefully, I won’t die in the process.

These are also not foods that one should be eating at every night! These are places that you could go to if you want to go on a cheap ass date or are sick of eating rice and beans for every meal!

Cosmos: Cosmos was my lifeblood freshman year of college. $3.00 for a cheese slice and 50c for spicy ranch. Also some of the best Breadsticks in Boulder for $5. The most desperate I ever got in college was the night were I either used the quarters I had been saving to do laundry or buy a slice. I went commando for the next week, but cosmos is always worth it. Also, Cosmos has free delivery in Boulder.

Waffle Bar: This is a new restaurant (as of 2018) that has sweet and savoury waffles that taste like they came straight from Belgium. Single waffles are 2.95 each, but the Nutella Waffle which is 5.95 is a cheap fancy breakfast

Mustard’s Last Stand: With a name as punny as “Mustard’s Last Stand” one would think that the food would be a hokey as the name. But Mustards is a Boulder institution that they are tearing down in the next couple of years. They offer a the closest thing in Boulder that you will come to a true Chicago Dog for just under 5 bucks. Then because we are in Boulder Mustards offers tons of Vegetarian items like their Signature Chili. The chili cheese fires are the best band for your buck, Small 3.94, Large 5.29. A nice vegetarian and cheap dinner that my family and I basically grew up on. Mustards is the closest restaurant to my house that my whole family could enjoy.

South Mouth: Now, normally I despise South Mouth. They are very processed wings that are only great when you are stoned. With that being said, South Mouth offers a dessert called “Memphis Donuts” that are basically fried dough covered in honey and powdered sugar for $4.20 ;). They also have pretty good fries for under five bucks that you can add chicken tenders to for $2

Zoe Ma Ma: This is one my favourite cheap eats in Boulder. The Vegetarian is a delicious noodle dish for about 7-8 bucks and The CPR is very tasty as well. With main dishes it is hard to go wrong at Zoe Ma Ma’s. They also offer delicious Bao for under 5 bucks and dumplings under 2 dollars each.

Nick n Willy’s: Nick n Willy’s is strange pizza joint that is either playing death metal over the speakers or K-pop, sometimes it’s a bit of both. The real gem about his place isn’t the pizza though, it is there secret german recipe for chicken and wings. The wings are 7.99 for 9 and they are worth every penny.

Protos: Protos is one of the best pizza places in Boulder. It is an upscale restaurant for families. Whenever Emily and I wanted to go out to a fancy dinner but didn’t want to spend a ton of money we would go to protos on the bus and order the White Pizza. The large White Pie is $12 and will feed two very hungry people (with even some to take home). The simple salad is $6, which can also feed two people. This is the perfect date night because it is a nice restaurant and you can spend less than $20 on salad and an amazing pizza.

Chez Thuy: I am going to argue that Chez Thuy is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Boulder. It also may be the only Vietnamese place in Boulder. This higher end restaurant offers many delicious foods, if you have a rich friend bring them here. But the way to eat incredibly cheaply here is to order the friend rice for pick-up. For 10 dollars they will give you almost three meals of fried rice. Also its some of the best friend rice in Boulder.

Five on Black: This is a new restaurant (as of 2018) that has delicious brazilian food. For $6.95 you get a small bowl with as much as you want in it. Trust me they are very tasty, healthy and filling.

Flatirons Coffee: This isn’t necessarily a cheap place to get food but is the best damn coffee shop in Boulder. Everyone who works there are extremely nice and helpful. They will challenge you with the daily trivia question and make sure to try the dark chocolate hot chocolate with whipped cream and sprinkles!

Lucky’s Market: A fun cute grocery store that sells cheap quality sandwiches that will hold you over on a hike or day out in Boulder. Lucky’s deli sells 5.99 sandwiches that are made on the spot and taste great.

Parkway: Parkway is a hidden gem of Boulder that offers cheap breakfast that is also delicious. It is hidden on the outskirts of pearl street next to the bike path but they offer great meals and good food.

Illegal Petes: Illegal petes is a staple in Boulder. They have been feeding college students for ages. They provide great 8 buck overstuffed burritos that I can barely finish. If you are lucky enough most weekends they have free live music with a local band!

Tuesdays: So on Tuesday in Boulder there are like a ton of great deals on stuff here are three that I would often take advantage of.

PizzaRev: On Tuesdays, PizzaRev has $6 make your own pizzas. They are personal sized or you can share them. But the best part is that you can eat a whole pizza without feeling bad because it is your own pizza!

BJ’s: I don’t always enjoy the food at BJ’s, but on Tuesdays, they offer $3 giant cookies with ice cream they call Pizookies. They are delicious and only worth it if you go on Tuesdays.

Century Theatres: This is the main movie theatre in Boulder and on Tuesdays they charge 5.75 for all movies all day. The 3D ones might be the same price, but it’s just 3D.

Gondolier: On Tuesdays and I think lunch they have an all you can eat homemade spaghetti special that is worth every penny. When I was in high school i used to go here before Track meets and my friends and I would “carbo-load”.

I completely forgot Santiago’s! They are the best place in boulder for a breakfast burrito and they are only $2.
